Forsyth County is seeking qualified engineering firms to support Smith Reynolds Airport with a comprehensive 5-year master agreement. - Government Buyer: - Forsyth County, Smith Reynolds Airport, Winston-Salem, NC - Scope of Services: - Planning, design, construction, and consulting for airport-related projects - Includes runway strengthening and overlay, environmental studies, airport master planning, ALP updates, airfield lighting, signage, NAVAIDS, taxiways, apron extensions and rehabilitations, safety area improvements, obstruction removal, land acquisition, parking lot improvements, EMAS rehabilitation or replacement, industrial and hangar construction, support building construction, terminal improvements, noise barriers, perimeter fencing, security improvements, fuel farms, utility infrastructure, and landside access improvements - Contract Structure: - 5-year master agreement - Fees negotiated per project - Up to two firms may be selected - Notable Requirements: - Compliance with FAA and North Carolina regulations - Minimum insurance limits - Demonstrated experience with federal and state aviation grants - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are mentioned in the solicitation - Selection Criteria: - Emphasis on experience, FAA and NCDOT relationships, and insurance coverage

Description

Forsyth County is seeking qualified engineering firms to provide planning, design, construction, and consulting services for various airport-related projects at Smith Reynolds Airport. The contract will be a 5-year master agreement with fees negotiated per project. Projects may include runway strengthening, environmental studies, master planning, airfield lighting, signage, taxiways, safety improvements, land acquisition, and other airport infrastructure work. The county may contract with up to two firms under this agreement. Proposals must be submitted electronically by October 2, 2026.
