Description

The Department of Justice announces the planned filing of the charter for the reestablishment of the Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative Advisory Committee (GAC) as a federal advisory committee. The GAC will provide recommendations on national justice information and criminal intelligence sharing policy, standards, and integration initiatives to support public safety and coordination among federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and other justice partners. The committee will consist of key officials from various justice-related entities and will operate for a two-year period unless renewed or terminated. The estimated annual operating cost will not exceed $500,000, with 35 members serving without compensation.
