Description
This notice announces the continuation of the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13848 with respect to foreign interference in or undermining public confidence in United States elections. The national emergency was originally declared on September 12, 2018, due to the unusual and extraordinary threat posed by foreign interference in U.S. elections. The continuation extends the emergency for one year beyond September 12, 2026, to address ongoing threats including unauthorized access to election infrastructure and covert distribution of disinformation.
