Henderson County, North Carolina is seeking bids for the BRCC Utilities Extension Project at Blue Ridge Community College. - Project Scope: - Construction of approximately 2,000 linear feet of 6-inch water lines, including fire hydrants, valves, and appurtenances - Installation of 440 linear feet of gravity sewer lines, manholes, and related appurtenances - Additional site work: clearing, grubbing, trench excavation, pavement repairs, aggregate base course, erosion control, and restoration - Technical Requirements: - Compliance with City of Hendersonville standards for water and sewer materials and installation - NCDOT traffic control and erosion control measures - Coordination with existing utilities and construction managers - Detailed specifications for pipe materials (Ductile Iron Pipe CL-350, SDR/35-PVC), fittings, valves, and fire hydrant assemblies - Notable Line Items: - 6" DIP/CL-350 Water Main (standard and restrained joints) - 8" DIP/CL-350 Water Main w/ restrained joints - 8" SDR/35-PVC Sewer Main - Fire Hydrant Assemblies (3 units) - 4' Diameter Precast Sewer Manholes (2 units) - Above Ground Heated Enclosure w/ 1" RPZ (3 units) - New 2" Water Service Piping (380 LF) - Unique Requirements: - Mandatory prebid meeting for all bidders - Licensed contractors in North Carolina only - Liquidated damages of $1,000 per day for late completion - Substantial completion required within 300 calendar days - No specific OEMs or branded products are named; bidders must adhere to referenced standards and specifications.

This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the BRCC Utilities Extension Project.
