2. Description & Scope of Work
The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), through the 577 Software Engineering Squadron (577 SWES/DIFF), is preparing to issue a solicitation for the commercial procurement of specialized tools, hardware, testing instruments, software, and associated material parts. This procurement supports the GASNTi2 Block 1 project.
2.1 Brand Name or Equal Specification
This acquisition is structured as a Brand Name or Equal procurement in accordance with FAR 52.211-6. Manufacturer names and part numbers listed in Section 4 are for the purpose of establishing the salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics required by the Government.
Exact Matches: No technical submittal is required for items furnished that exactly match the specified manufacturer and part number, provided the contractor certifies conformance in writing on the packing slip. Substitutions ("Or-Equal" Items): A complete technical submittal IS required for written approval prior to procurement/delivery for any item that differs in manufacturer, model, or part number. The submittal must include manufacturer’s product data sheets, a side-by-side technical comparison to the salient characteristics of the specified model, and justification for the deviation.

Site Access: The vendor is responsible for coordinating with the Government POCs to establish an acceptable delivery schedule.
