(sole source vendor) - Products/Services Requested: - UL-558 testing and certification services for four government-owned Material Handling Equipment (MHE) units (USN 1125-04043, 1125-04044, 1125-04045, 1125-04046) - Includes laboratory testing, certification, detailed reporting (test results, equipment tested, calibration dates), and affixing UL labels - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Testing must comply with UL 558, 11th Edition, NAVSEA SW023-AH-WHM-010, and NAVSUP P-53 - Services performed by trained technicians - Firm fixed price contract for one job unit - Sole source procurement; competition is at government discretion - Work performed Monday-Friday, 0700-1600, excluding federal holidays unless authorized otherwise

Description

NAVSUP FLC Norfolk Contracting Department Groton office intends to solicit and award a sole source requirement for UL-558 testing and certification services to Intertek Testing Services NA, Inc. in support of Naval Submarine Support Facility Groton, CT.

The resultant contract will be performed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures under Other than Full and Open Competition environment, as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is NLT 15 September 2026.
