Description

The Texas Military Department (TMD) is seeking cost proposals to conduct bird surveys using pre-established transects at training centers in four locations. The project involves conducting a Spring count and a Winter count to provide data for a long-term monitoring program on bird populations at TMD training centers. The survey aims to determine locations and distribution of species of concern and monitor potential impacts of training or habitat management across the sites. Data collected will be integrated into TMD's current database and the Federal Avian Knowledge Network (AKN).
