Pierce County is seeking proposals to provide low-barrier emergency shelter for families with minor children experiencing homelessness. The funding will support emergency shelter operations, including congregate, non-congregate, hotel/motel shelter models, and day centers, as well as housing assistance aimed at rapid exit to permanent housing. Projects must serve households with minor children meeting HUD's definition of homelessness, with preference for proposals expanding shelter capacity in underserved areas outside Tacoma.
