Description

The Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, has initiated a countervailing duty (CVD) investigation to determine whether imports of perfluoroalkoxy alkane (PFA) from India benefit from countervailable subsidies conferred by the Government of India. The investigation covers PFA, a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and perfluoroalkoxy side chains, associated with Chemical Abstracts Service registry numbers 26655005 and 31784040. The initiation follows a petition filed on behalf of the domestic industry alleging material injury due to subsidized imports. The investigation will assess 21 subsidy programs alleged by the petitioner and aims to make a preliminary determination within 65 days of initiation.
