The Department of Labor (DOL) is establishing a new matching program pursuant to the Privacy Act of 1974 and the Payment Integrity Information Act of 2019. This program involves the computerized comparison of DOL benefits program records with the Do Not Pay (DNP) Working System maintained by the Department of Treasury. The purpose is to identify and prevent improper payments and conduct related recovery activities by verifying eligibility through DNP prepayment or pre-award checks. The program covers multiple DOL benefits programs and is effective from September 10, 2029, with comments due by October 1, 2026.
