Description

The Department of Energy's Office of Critical Minerals and Energy Innovation is issuing a final rule to rescind the regulatory framework for production incentives for cellulosic biofuels. This program, established under the Energy Policy Act of 2005, has been inactive due to lack of appropriated funds and has been superseded by other federal programs such as the Renewable Fuel Standard.
