The Western Development Museum (WDM) is seeking proposals for a fire suppression system upgrade at its Moose Jaw facility. - Government Buyer: - Western Development Museum (WDM), Facilities and Safety Manager, Jody Gillis - Scope of Work: - Replacement of approximately 250 aging sprinkler heads throughout Zone 2 of the museum - Installation of a new sprinkler branch line and associated sprinkler heads in the Auto Repair Shop Display (Zone 1) - Unit pricing required for sprinkler head replacement; lump sum pricing for branch line installation - Technical and Compliance Requirements: - All sprinkler heads must be UL-listed and compliant with current NFPA codes, local fire regulations, and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements - Contractor must supply an electric aerial work platform capable of reaching 45 feet - Contractor must be licensed and insured for fire protection system work in Saskatchewan - Demonstrated experience with sprinkler head replacement in museum or library environments is required - Additional Requirements: - Includes site assessment, testing, quality assurance, daily site clean-up, and provision of warranty certificates for labor and parts - No specific OEMs, brands, or part numbers are named in the solicitation - Period of performance is anticipated for late September to early October, with exact dates to be coordinated with museum staff

The Western Development Museum (WDM) is continuing its multi-year fire suppression modernization program at its Moose Jaw location. This phase focuses on replacing aging sprinkler heads throughout the facility and installing a new sprinkler branch line to improve fire protection coverage within the Auto Repair Shop Display exhibit area. The project aims to support long-term asset reliability, maintain compliance with fire protection standards, and enhance life safety for staff, visitors, collections, and exhibits.
