Description

The Government of Canada has offered a replacement for Tree Farm Licence (TFL) 55 to Pacific Woodtech Canada Holdings Limited in accordance with section 36 (1.2) of the Forest Act. TFL 55 is located in the Selkirk Mountains north of Revelstoke, in the Selkirk Natural Resource District, and covers the same land-base as the existing licence. The replacement licence has a term of 25 years and allows for the harvest of coniferous timber from the specified area. The Forest Act requires Tree Farm Licences to be replaced no later than every 10 years.
