Description

This is a Sources Sought Notice, NOT a solicitation announcement. Accordingly, no contract award will result from this Sources Sought Notice, as it does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be used by the government in making an appropriate acquisition decision.The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, anticipates the construction of a 2-Bay F-35A Aircraft Maintenance Hangar and B64 Squadron Operations building. The construction will be for two additions, one on the west side of Building 64 and one on the south side. The west addition is an extension of the existing Life Support (AFE) area and is located between the existing communication tower (to the north) and the existing auditorium exit (to the south). The south addition includes an enclosed walkway on the ground floor connected to Building 64.Construction will also include a sprinkler-equipped facility consisting of a reinforced concrete foundation, structural steel frame, split-faced concrete masonry block, and sloped standing seam metal roof. The project provides fire detection and protection, all utilities, heating/ventilation/air conditioning, secure communications, site improvements, landscaping, parking, and all necessary supporting work for a complete and usable facility.NAICS Code: 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction) with a Small Business Size Standard of $45 million.
