The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 20, in support of American Lake, VA Medical Center, Tacoma, WA is currently requesting information to determine the existence of viable sources capable of providing construction services.
Period of Performance: The intended contract period of performance is for 90 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed.
Description of Services:
The contractor shall provide personnel certified for the regulated underground storage tank (UST) services they perform. Installation, repair, and modification of the UST system and its components shall be performed or directly supervised by a provider holding ICC UST Installation/Retrofitting (U1) certification. Regulated tank or piping tightness testing shall be performed or directly supervised by a provider holding ICC UST Tank Tightness Testing (U3) certification. If conditions encountered require a formal site assessment, that work shall be performed or directly supervised by a provider holding Washington State Site Assessment (U7) certification, or another qualification accepted under WAC 173-360A-0930. The contract task requirements include, but are not limited to, the following work:
Task 1 Regulatory Notifications Task 2 Fuel Dispenser Removal Task 3 Demolition and Excavation Task 4 Product Piping Removal Task 5 Extractor Valve Removal and Reinstallation Task 6 Containment Sump Installation Task 7 Under Dispenser Containment (UDC) Installation Task 8 Fuel Piping Installation Task 9 Electrical and Communication Systems Task 10 Leak Detection Equipment Task 11 Fuel Dispenser Reinstallation Task 12 Concrete Restoration Task 13 Hose Retrievers Task 14 Startup, Testing, and Commissioning No later than five (5) business days prior to mobilization, the contractor shall submit to the Contracting Officer's Representative copies of the applicable current certifications and the names of the personnel performing or directly supervising the regulated work. Failure to provide acceptable documentation may delay mobilization or result in suspension of the affected work at no additional cost to the Government. The Contractor shall maintain all required licenses and certifications for the duration of the contract. Failure to maintain the required certifications shall constitute grounds for suspension of work until deficiencies are corrected at no additional cost to the Government.
NAICS Code: 237110 Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction and the small business size standard is $45.0 million (March 2023, standards).
The Government is not soliciting offers at this time, and it will be the Contracting Officer who will determine which suggested changes are accepted. This is a sources sought notice to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. A solicitation is not currently available.
Responses: Responses to this request will be considered for the purpose of determining how the requirements will be stated and how the procurement will be conducted. This announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or to award a contract.
