Description

CNF TRAIL BRUSHING

This is a non-personal services contract for trail brushing for the Forest Service Chugach National Forest (CNF), Alaska. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the contractor who, in turn, is responsible to the Government.

Purpose: The Forest Service is responsible for maintaining healthy, diverse, and productive National Forests. These responsibilities include maintaining trails and managing vegetation growth. The CNF manages over 500 miles of trails, and the trails identified in this Performance Work Statement (PWS) have been designated as current priorities for brushing services. The purpose of this contract is to manage vegetation growth to ensure safe trail conditions and maintain visitor access to National Forest System lands.

Description of Services: The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, facilities, transportation, and all other items and non-personal services necessary to provide brushing services to multiple trails located within the Chugach National Forest. Services shall include cutting, trimming, and disposing of live and dead brush/slash, logs and debris. All services shall be performed in accordance with (IAW) this PWS, and all applicable local, state, and federal standards, laws, and regulations.

Place of Performance: The trails covered under this contract are located within the Seward Ranger District (SRD) and Glacier Ranger District (GRD), Chugach National Forest, Alaska. The closest communities are Moose Pass and Whittier.

Period of Performance: The period of performance shall be from Date of Award until 30 November 2027.

Contract Type: The Government will award a Firm-Fixed Price, Stand-Alone, Non-Personal Services Contract.
