This procurement opportunity is issued by the U.S. Forest Service, Angeles National Forest, for comprehensive road maintenance and repair services across multiple forest roads. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service - Angeles National Forest - Scope of Work: - Over 70 miles of road maintenance and repairs - Tasks include: - Mobilization - Blading (grading) of unpaved roads at various locations (e.g., Big Santa Anita Canyon, Gould Mesa Rd, Brown Mtn Rd, etc.) - Spot surfacing with 3" Class 2 road base (e.g., 485 CY on Gould Mesa Rd) - Asphalt pavement patching (e.g., 1,350 CY on Colby Ranch Rd, 2,550 CY on Mt Lowe Rd) - Paved surface cleaning - Removal and end hauling of materials for fill of slumps/washouts - Drainage restoration on multiple roads - Installation of corrugated metal spillways and flumes (various quantities and locations) - Installation of new 36" culvert drop inlets and 36" culverts (contractor furnished) - Products/Materials: - 3" Class 2 road base aggregate - Hot Mix Asphalt (Caltrans 1/2 in. type A, PG 64-16 RAP Okay) - Corrugated metal spillways, flumes, and culverts (24" and 36" diameters, various lengths) - Quantities: - Detailed per road and task (e.g., 49 corrugated metal spillways on Rowher Flats OHV, 17.5 miles of blading on Sawmill Libre Rd) - Unique Requirements: - Contractor must furnish and install specific sizes of corrugated metal infrastructure - Work covers a wide range of road types and conditions - HUBZone small business set-aside - OEMs/Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; contractor is responsible for sourcing compliant materials

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 127EAY26Q0124 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for repair various roads throughout the Angeles National Forest.  The contract will cover over 70 miles of road surface repairs and improvements, replacement and installation of various aggregates and corrugated metal road infrastructure.  The work will occur within the Angeles National Forest and in both Ranger Districts on Forest.

This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 237310  The small business size standard is $45,000,000  This acquisition is set-aside for Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBZone).  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
