The Navajo Area Indian Health Service (IHS), part of the Department of Health and Human Services, is seeking Indian-owned Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEE) to provide remote medical coding and limited data entry services for outpatient and inpatient encounters across Navajo Area facilities in Arizona and New Mexico. - Government Buyer: - Indian Health Service, Navajo Area Office - Department of Health and Human Services - Navajo Area Indian Health Service (NAIHS) - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named; services must be provided by ISBEE-certified firms - Products/Services Requested: - Remote outpatient and inpatient medical coding - Straightforward, moderate, and high-complexity outpatient coding - Complete inpatient record review coding - Use of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, HCPCS Level II, CDT, DSM, and CMS E/M guidelines - Data entry services into RPMS/PCC systems - Documentation deficiency management - Quality control and reporting (weekly, monthly, ad hoc) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Coders must hold AHIMA or AAPC certifications - HSPD-12 clearance required for personnel - Services must be delivered remotely and completed within specified timeframes (e.g., outpatient coding within 5 business days, inpatient coding within 30 days) - Acquisition is set aside for Indian-owned Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEE) - Maximum BPA value is $2 million over five years - Quality assurance and performance reporting are mandatory
