This opportunity from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, seeks accredited electrical vocational instruction services for inmates at FCI Danbury, Connecticut. - Government Buyer: - Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office (FAO) - Office: U.S. Armed Forces Reserve Complex, Grand Prairie, TX - Facility: Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Danbury - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the requirement is for an accredited educational entity - Products/Services Requested: - Accredited Electrical Instructor services for HVAC and electrical occupational training - Up to 30 inmate participants per year - At least 1680 instructional hours annually - Contractor provides instruction, textbooks, and curriculum - Institution provides electrical equipment and tools - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must be accredited and able to offer transferrable college credits or industry-recognized certificates - Instruction must prepare inmates for entry-level positions in the electrical industry - Hands-on competencies must comprise 20-40% of the curriculum - Services required Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., excluding federal holidays - Contractor responsible for maintaining records and assisting with employer recruitment for mock job fairs - Contract is indefinite-delivery, requirements-type with one base year and four option years - Up to five years of potential performance

Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, is conducting market research in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 10. The service is for the provision of accredited Electrical Instructor services. The contractor must be an accredited entity. HVAC Instruction will be provided to the incarcerated inmate population at FCI Danbury located at 33 ½ Pembroke Road, Danbury, Connecticut 06811. The contractor will provide Electrical instruction that will qualify inmates for at least an entry level position in the industry.  Please see attached Statement of Work (SOW) for additional infomration pertaining to this future requirement.
