The US Coast Guard Base Alameda, under the Department of Homeland Security, is seeking a contractor for the installation of thermoplastic crosswalks and related pavement markings at its facility in Alameda, California. - Government Buyer: - US Coast Guard Base Alameda Facilities Engineering Department - Regional Support Team Southwest (RST-SW) - Contracting Officer: LCDR Bethany Stafford - Products/Services Requested: - Installation of approximately 1,500 linear feet of 12" wide thermoplastic crosswalk striping (Federal Standard 595 Color#37925, minimum thickness 0.09") - Installation of seven (7) thermoplastic "STOP" markings - Application of high-durability blue road grade paint with black lettering for government property lines (base specification TT-P-1952F Type III or equivalent, blue color Federal Standard 595 / AMS-STD-595 Color Code 15180 or 15080) - Surface preparation, including removal of old markings and ensuring pavement is dry and clean - Site cleanup and restoration after installation - Project management and coordination with USCG representatives - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; materials must meet federal standards and specifications - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must be a small business (100% set-aside under NAICS 237310) - All personnel must pass background checks and comply with base access and safety regulations - Payment bond required within 15 days of award - Work must begin within 15 days of award and be completed within 60 days after notice to proceed - Compliance with Statement of Work and technical specifications is mandatory
