Zooplankton Laboratory Analysis Services for Colorado Basin Water Samples

The Bureau of Reclamation's Upper and Lower Colorado Basin Water Quality Groups are seeking contractor laboratory services for zooplankton analysis of reservoir water samples. - Government Buyer: - Bureau of Reclamation, Department of the Interior - Upper Colorado Basin and Lower Colorado Basin Water Quality Groups - Contract Specialist: Kyle Goddard - Services Requested: - Laboratory analysis of zooplankton in reservoir water samples - Taxonomic identification to species or genus level - Enumeration of at least 400 natural units per sample - Biovolume calculations - Quality assurance and control (QA/QC) - Electronic reporting of results by reservoir - Ad-hoc data clarification support (teleconference materials as needed) - Sample Quantities: - One-time processing of approximately 100 backlogged samples (Upper Colorado Basin) - Up to 120 new samples annually (Upper Colorado Basin) - Up to 136 new samples annually (Lower Colorado Basin) - Unique Requirements: - All analyses performed off-site at contractor's facility - Electronic reports required within 60 days of sample receipt - No routine meetings anticipated; support provided as needed - Unified approach between Upper and Lower Colorado Region teams - No specific OEMs or laboratory vendors are named; opportunity is open to qualified small business laboratories - No products or part numbers specified; focus is solely on laboratory services
