THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATIONThe Bureau of Land Management is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to identify dairy farms and ranches with the capability and interest to provide temporary housing and care for cattle displaced by recent wildland fires. This RFI is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment for procurement.BACKGROUNDRecent wildland fires have significantly impacted ranchers, creating an urgent need for alternative, short and long term cattle housing. The Government is seeking information on facilities that can provide safe, compliant, and reliable support for affected livestock for an estimated period of up to two years.REQUESTED INFORMATIONRespondents are asked to provide detailed information regarding their capabilities, including:* Holding capacity (number and type of livestock that can be supported)* Timeframe and length of availability* Animal type preferences (steers, heifers, cows, bred cattle, bulls)* Location and description of facilities* Import requirements and required health certifications* Feed availability * Ability to provide feed onsite or support purchase/transportation* Capacity to store feed on site* Animal health requirements and standards maintained* Ability to separate or isolate cattle from existing herds as required* Veterinary support availability* Identification as a dairy farm or ranch operationADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThis RFI is solely intended to gather information.
