This notice announces the completion of an inventory of Native American human remains and funerary objects at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), in compliance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). - Government Buyer: - California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) - Coordinating with the National Park Service and Department of the Interior - Inventory Details: - Human remains of at least three individuals - 57 associated funerary objects, including: - 24 ceramic vessels - 18 bone implements - 2 charmstones - 1 lithic tool - 1 bead - 7 projectile points - 2 flakes and lithic fragments - 1 mano - 1 fragment of turquoise - Cultural Affiliation: - Remains and objects affiliated with the Pueblo of Acoma, New Mexico - Notable Requirements: - Repatriation requests may be submitted by Indian Tribes, Native Hawaiian organizations, or lineal descendants - Repatriation will occur after a designated date - No OEMs or commercial vendors involved; this is not a procurement or contract opportunity

Description

California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory includes remains of at least three individuals and 57 associated funerary objects. CSUF has determined a cultural affiliation between these remains and objects and the Pueblo of Acoma, New Mexico. Repatriation of these items may occur on or after September 30, 2026, and requests for repatriation must be sent to the authorized representative at CSUF.
