The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), on behalf of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), announces final agency actions related to the proposed S.R. 30 (U.S. 98) Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study, known as "Around the Mound." The project involves adding capacity to S.R. 30 (U.S. 98) from S.R. 189 (Beal Parkway) to the West End of Brooks Bridge, and north along S.R. 85 (Eglin Parkway) to Hollywood Boulevard, approximately 0.6 miles. Improvements include widening the roadway from four to six lanes, upgrading signalized intersections, modifying the S.R. network involving S.R. 30, S.R. 85, and S.R. 145, and constructing stormwater management facilities. The notice also limits claims for judicial review of these actions to a deadline of January 28, 2027.
