Description

The Department of Education is proposing a revision of a currently approved information collection request related to the Personnel Development Program (PDP) service obligation. The PDP is a federal program aimed at increasing the supply of qualified personnel in special education by awarding competitive grants to Institutions of Higher Education to support scholars preparing to provide special education and related services. Scholars receiving funding agree to work in the field for two years for each year of support. Data is collected electronically through the Personnel Development Program Data Collection System to assess program efficiency, performance, and compliance with program requirements.
