Procurement of APC Symmetra PX40kW N+1 UPS Systems with Turnkey Installation and Software for Army Research Laboratory

This opportunity is for the U.S. Army Research Laboratory to replace and expand its uninterruptible power supply (UPS) infrastructure at Aberdeen Proving Ground. - Two new APC Symmetra PX40kW N+1 UPS systems are required, including all associated cabinets, network cards, and monitoring equipment. - Each UPS system includes a UPS cabinet, PDU cabinet, battery cabinet, NIC card, RPDUs, Netbotz monitor, sensors, and full APC assembly/startup services. - Turnkey installation is required, covering electrical work, special rigging, programming, software, and factory-certified startup. - Software licenses are included: - 18 licenses for APC Powerchute (6-year term, one per Nutanix node) - 1 Eaton Brightlayer software package (includes 3 BL licenses per UPS, 45 Disaster Avoidance licenses, 6 years maintenance) - 20 licenses for APC Data Center Expert software - Installation and startup must be performed by Chesapeake Mission Critical, L.L.C., the sole APC Elite Partner in the region, to maintain warranty and operational continuity. - The estimated contract value is $375,840, funded by Army RDT&E for FY 2026-2027. - The period of performance is 120 days after contract award, with award projected for September 2026. - Sole source justification is based on the requirement for OEM-certified installation and warranty preservation.
