Description

Placer County is soliciting bids for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, tools, and services necessary to perform biomass removal activities within the French Meadows project area on the Tahoe National Forest. The work involves processing and transporting approximately 2,520 green tons of deteriorated whole log biomass, including loading, hauling, chipping, and delivery to the Rio Bravo–Rocklin biomass facility. All activities must comply with the French Meadows Project NEPA decision and follow procedures for removing forest products from national forest lands. A pre-bid job walk is scheduled for September 4, 2026, to inspect sample project treatment areas.
