USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is seeking construction services for the repair of the Kalispel Tribe Dike in Pend Oreille County, Washington. - Government Buyer: - United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) - Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Washington office, Spokane Valley - USDA FPAC Business Center Western Section - OEMs and Vendors: - Waterman (manufacturer of flap gates) - No other specific OEMs for pipe, geotextile, or riprap are named; materials must meet USDA/NRCS specifications - Products and Materials Requested: - 36-inch diameter Waterman flap gate (with cleaning, lubrication, and testing requirements) - 36-inch diameter corrugated metal pipe, 12 gauge, helical (aluminized, gasketed, lock seam, rerolled ends, connecting bands with neoprene gasket and geotextile wrap) - Anti-seep collars (14 gauge galvanized steel, inspected for defects) - Nonwoven geotextile, Class 1 (must meet or exceed Material Specification 592) - Rock riprap (specified gradation and placement) - Topsoil, earthfill, excavation, and borrow materials - Construction Services Requested: - Dewatering, erosion and pollution control, excavation, structure removal and replacement, earthfill, seeding and mulching, mobilization/demobilization, contractor quality control, metal fabrication and installation, painting metalwork - Removal and resetting or replacement of culvert and anti-seep collars if not salvageable - Installation of cofferdams, sheet piling, and water removal systems - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All materials and installation must comply with USDA/NRCS technical specifications - COR (Contracting Officer's Representative) approval required for salvaged or new components - Small business set-aside; firm fixed price contract - Detailed quality control and environmental protection measures - Performance period is approximately 385 days, with start within 10 days of notice to proceed

Description

NRCS Washington is soliciting proposals to repair the Kalispel Tribe Dike located in Pend Oreille County, Washington. This project consists of dewatering the site, providing erosion control, excavating the existing dike soil and stockpiling, removing the 36" diameter dike culvert and anti-seep collars, if in suitable condition, as determined by the COR, resetting the existing dike culvert and anti-seep collars, placing riprap and nonwoven geotextile around the culvert outlet, backfilling and compacting the dike. If the existing 36" diameter dike culvert and anti-seep collars are not salvageable, then a new 36" diameter culvert and anti-seep collars will be installed as specified.
