SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE 

MAX FIRE BOX PHASE II OFFUTT AFB, NEBRASKA  28 AUGUST 2026 

Overview:  The 55th Civil Engineering Squadron/CEIAR at Offutt AFB is seeking responses to a sources sought notice for a box burner, providing the capability of realistic, consistent training in thermal imaging, ventilation, tactical fire attack, and fire behavior. This sources sought notice is being issued for market research purposes to aid in determining the capability of industry. A draft Statement of Work is included in this document.  Instructions:  Interested parties shall submit a response to this sources sought showing the following: 

1. Interest

Interested parties shall submit a brief statement showing their interest in a potential future contract of a similar nature and scope.

2. Technical capability

Interested parties shall submit a Burn Box Trainer capability statement or narrative showing they can fulfill all specification listed in the “Burn Trainer” section of the draft Statement of Work. Offeror may include comments or questions in their response that would be helpful in better understanding the proposed project scope.
