NIST's Building Energy and Environment Division is seeking a contractor to provide and install steel stair systems to improve safety and accessibility at its Gaithersburg campus. - Government Buyer: - National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Building Energy and Environment Division, NIST Acquisition Management Division - Products/Services Requested: - Three steel stair systems: - One collapsible stair system for Building A120 - Two fixed stair systems for level 1 and level 3 platforms in Building 226/A106 - All stairs must be fabricated from heavy-duty steel or equivalent, powder coated, and meet OSHA standards - Includes delivery, installation, and safety-related components - Services: - Onsite assembly, installation, and inspection of stair systems - Safety-related training for contractor personnel (PPE, fall protection, equipment operation) - Development and compliance of a site-specific safety plan per OSHA and local regulations - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must provide all design, fabrication, delivery, installation, safety training, and warranty - 100% small business set-aside - Firm fixed price contract - All work must comply with OSHA, state, and local safety regulations
