The New York City Law Department is seeking City Certified Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBEs) for a multi-year contract to provide transcription, interpretation, and translation services. - Government Buyer: - New York City Law Department, Operations Division - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or technology manufacturers are named; vendors must be M/WBE-certified and have at least three years of relevant experience - Products/Services Requested: - Transcription of digital audio and video files (verbatim, English to English and various languages to English) - Estimated annual volume: 200,000 minutes - Languages include: Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Bengali, Arabic, Haitian/Creole, Korean, French, Urdu, Polish - Telephonic interpretation services (remote, multiple languages) - In-person interpretation services (consecutive and simultaneous, multiple languages) - Sign language interpretation services (certified interpreters, RID or NAD) - Written translation services (documents, notarization/certification, desktop publishing) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Exclusively set aside for M/WBE-certified vendors - Certification requirements for interpreters and translators (ATA, RID, NAD, etc.) - Strict confidentiality and compliance with NYC labor laws - Ability to provide backup interpretation and translation services - All materials and labor must be provided by the contractor

Description

The New York City Law Department is soliciting proposals for transcription of digital audio and video files, including translation services from English to English and various other languages to English. The contract term is three years starting November 1, 2026, with one two-year renewal option. The procurement is exclusively for M/WBE certified contractors. The contractor will provide all labor and materials required to transcribe audio/video content verbatim, maintain confidentiality, and deliver transcriptions as requested by the Law Department.
