The US Coast Guard Station Rockland is seeking contractor services for window remediation and sealing at its facility in Maine. - Government Buyer: - US Coast Guard (USCG), Station Rockland - Scope of Work: - Inspection and remediation of approximately five front building windows - Removal of old sealant and cleaning of surfaces - Application of new high-quality, weather-resistant sealant - Adjustment of window sashes, jambs, sills, flashing, and locks for proper sealing - Replacement of worn weather stripping and damaged interior trim pieces with matching materials - Submission of pre- and post-inspection reports using a water wand to verify leak points - Compliance with all applicable codes and regulations, including lead and asbestos remediation if required - One-year warranty on workmanship and materials - No specific OEMs or vendors are mentioned - Unique Requirements: - Water wand testing for leak verification - Lead and asbestos remediation if necessary - One-year warranty on all work and materials - Compliance with SCA/Davis Bacon Act wage and insurance requirements

Description

Inspect all windows/awnings and surrounding for drafts, leaks, or visible damage and submit a report to the CG. The pre report will include using a water wand to verify where the water intrusion is coming from. After, the contractor will remove any old, cracked sealant and clean the surfaces thoroughly. Apply new, high quality, weather resistant, sealant around the entire window frame, ensuring a continuous and smooth bead. Check and adjust the window sashes, jambs, sill, flashing and locks to ensure a tight seal. Also, apply new, high quality, weather resistant, sealant around the awning to make sure no water intrusion occurs without taking the awning off.  Reinstall or replace any worn weather stripping. Finally, conduct a post inspection insuring no leaks remain (water wand), confirming all parts are weather-tight.  Replace all window interior trim pieces that were damaged with the same materials. In accordance with the attached Statement Of Work (SOW).
