Boone County Public Works is seeking qualified contractors for roadway and embankment stabilization at multiple sites across Boone County, Kentucky. - Government Buyer: - Boone County Public Works Department - Contact: Tom Logan - Project Scope: - Stabilization and repair of roadway and embankment failures at six locations: Ryle Road (three areas), Big Bone Church Road, Market Street in Petersburg, Sunnybrook Drive, and Sturgeon Road - Includes excavation, removal of unsuitable materials, structural fill, geotechnical reinforcement, drainage improvements, erosion and sediment control, and roadway restoration - Guardrail installation totaling 1,500 linear feet, compliant with KYTC Material Specification Sections 814 and 719 - Traffic control, mobilization, demobilization, and maintenance of access - Products/Services Requested: - Complete stabilization solutions for each site - Guardrail systems and installation - Temporary and permanent erosion/sediment control - Traffic maintenance and site preparation - Unique Requirements: - Preconstruction site reviews and submission of stabilization designs for approval - Geotechnical recommendations and stamped plans required - Correction of drainage issues and subgrade preparation - Minimum five-year warranty on stabilization work - Suspension of work during adverse weather - As-built documentation and inspection/testing - OEMs: - No specific OEMs named; guardrail systems must comply with KYTC standards - Estimated Contract Value: - Based on scope and typical costs, estimated range is $500,000 to $1,500,000 - Notable Standards: - KYTC 2026 Material Specification Sections 814 and 719 for guardrail systems

This project aims to stabilize and address roadway and embankment failures at selected locations throughout Boone County, including three sections along Ryle Road, Big Bone Church Road, Market Street in Petersburg, Sunnybrook Drive, and Sturgeon Road. The work focuses on areas experiencing slope movement, roadway distress, erosion, or other conditions threatening the long-term stability and serviceability of the roadway. The County seeks qualified contractors to provide effective stabilization and repair solutions tailored to each location, prioritizing work based on severity and risk to restore stability, prevent further deterioration, and extend the service life of these transportation routes.
