USDA Forest Service Solicits Aluminized Steel Culverts and Hardware for Gifford Pinchot National Forest

The USDA Forest Service, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, is seeking fixed-price bids for the supply and delivery of aluminized steel culverts and associated hardware. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, CSA Northwest 2, Gifford Pinchot National Forest - Products Requested: - Aluminized steel pipe culverts, Type 2, 12 gauge, in both circular and arch/elliptical shapes - Sizes range from 48-inch to 144-inch diameter, with quantities from 40 to 120 feet per size - Culvert segments are 20 feet in length - Annular aluminized steel coupler bands, 14 gauge - Leak-resistant gaskets compliant with ASTM D1056 - Galvanized bolts (1/2-inch nominal diameter, 8 inches long), flat standard style washers, and 1/2-inch – 13 thread flanged hex nuts - Bands, gaskets, and hardware sets for each culvert size - Services Requested: - Transportation and delivery of all materials to Pine Creek Work Center, Cougar, WA - Unloading and re-piling of materials at the designated location - Unique Requirements: - All culverts must be aluminized steel, Type 2, 12 gauge - Leak-resistant joint performance required for all pipe connections - Gaskets must meet ASTM D1056 standards - Delivery must be completed within a specified period (mid to late September) - Solicitation is set aside for small businesses, including women-owned and economically disadvantaged women-owned small businesses - No specific OEMs or part numbers are mentioned; products must meet technical specifications outlined in the solicitation.

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Offeror shall provide various sizes of circular and arch or elliptical pipe culverts, bands, gaskets, and associated hardware.  All culverts shall be Type 2, aluminized steel pipe, 12 gauge with leak resistant joint performance, utilizing gaskets meeting ASTM D1056.  Culvert lengths shall be provided in 20-ft segments.

Coupler bands shall be annular aluminized steel, 14 gauge. All bolts shall be ½-inch nominal diameter and 8-inches long.  Washers shall be flat standard style. Nuts shall be ½-inch – 13 thread flanged hex.  Bolts, nuts, and washers shall be galvanized.  Offeror shall provide the required number of bolts and washers for couple band chosen.

All material shall be delivered to Pine Creek Work Center, located on National Forest Road 90 at Mile Post 15.15, east of Cougar, Washington.  GPS coordinates of location are (46.0624N, -122.0290W).  Offeror shall provide equipment to unload and re-pile all material at designated location behind Pine Creek Work Center as approved by COR. Offeror shall provide 48-hour notice prior to delivery.  PROVIDE A DELIVERY DATE IN YOUR QUOTE.

Solicitation number 1240BD26Q0093 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ).

The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 332322.  Sheet Metal Work Manufacturing. The small business size standard 500 Employees.  The Service code is 4710 pipe, tube and rigid tubing. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. 

The contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract.
