Description
The B.C. Ministry of Agriculture and Food is seeking proposals to develop a repeatable methodology to assess opportunities for several crops in specific regions of the province. This project will build on the 2025 Opportunities Assessment for Alternative Crops in BC by providing detailed economic assessments for a subset of crops and a methodology/template for future analysis. The methodology will be applied to at least one crop in each of three regions, with potential to extend to additional crops. The completed project aims to increase knowledge about the economic potential of new or emerging crops for BC agriculture and establish a framework for evaluating future opportunities.
