The USDA Forest Service, El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico, is soliciting maintenance and repair services for its access control infrastructure. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, Southern Region, El Yunque National Forest - Office: EI Yunque Catalina Service Center - OEMs and Vendors: - LiftMaster (motorized sliding gates) - Lenel (access control hardware) - Products/Services Requested: - Monthly maintenance and repair for intercom systems, barrier gates, and access control systems at three locations: El Portal Visitor Center, Catalina Headquarters, and La Coca Checkpoint - Emergency service calls (part number: 7540-01-152-8067) for all three locations - Annual inspections and software updates for vehicle barriers, access control readers, and intercoms - Quantities: - 12 monthly maintenance services per year for each system at each location (intercom, barrier gates, access control) - 4 emergency service calls per year per location - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Emergency service response required within 2 hours during business hours, 4 hours otherwise - Contract includes a base year plus four option years (total up to 5 years) - Maintenance scheduled during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays - Set aside for small business concerns under NAICS 238210 - Key equipment includes LiftMaster CSL24UL gates and Lenel access control hardware

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 1240BE26Q0102 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a contractor to provide Barriers System, Access control & Intercom Service & Maintenance at El Portal & Catalina. El Portal will have gates barriers and Catalina has gates barrier system with sliding motorized sliding gate fence. La Coca check point has local barriers system.

This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 238210  The small business size standard is $19.0 mil.  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. 

Statement of Requirement

The requirement is for the contractor to provide Active Vehicle Barriers System, Access Control & Intercom (Maintenance and Repairs services) on El Yunque National Forest (EYNF) at the following locations: The El Portal & Catalina is at the U.S. Forest Service, Southern Region, El Yunque National Forest in Rio Grande, Road 191 at el Portal Visitor center parking area on Rio Grande, P. R. 00721. Approximated coordinates location area is at: 18°20’18.70” N, -65°45’ 46.85” W.   La Coca check point La Coca Check Point approximated coordinates location area is at: 18°19’07.96” N, -65°46’ 15.90” W, with an elevation of 1470 ft from sea level.
