The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 20, is seeking a contractor to provide hourly, drop-in child care services at the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System - American Lake Division in Washington State. - Government Buyer: - Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 20, American Lake VA Medical Center - Services Requested: - Hourly, drop-in child care services for children ages six weeks to twelve years, and up to eighteen years for children with special needs - Services must align with outpatient clinic hours - Temporary care not to exceed three hours per child - Minimum staffing: 2 Child Care Attendants, 1 Child Care Clerk, 1 Program Manager per month - Child Care Clerk must have experience with special needs children - At least one attendant with special needs experience must be present at all times - Unique Requirements: - Compliance with all Federal childcare laws - Program Manager responsible for overall program compliance and staffing - No specific OEMs or product vendors are mentioned; this is a service-based requirement - No products or equipment are being procured

Description

Contractor shall provide hourly, drop-in Child Care Services for Veterans and their beneficiaries at VA Puget Sound WA Healthcare System - American Lake Division in accordance with Terms and Conditions of the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The Contractor shall provide hourly drop-in childcare services for children ages six (6) weeks through twelve (12) years old and up to eighteen (18) years of age for children with special needs during hours that align with the outpatient clinic hours of the facility in accordance with those facilities in Washington State, where VA Kids Care resides and in observance of Federal laws pertaining to childcare centers. Any child that is less than 6 (six) weeks old will not be accepted into VA Kids Care. The Contractor shall at all times provide at least 1 (one) childcare attendant on-site with experience in caring for special needs children. The Program consists of temporary care (not to exceed 3 hours) that offers children a variety of activities. Current maximum capacity is dependent upon space available at each facility. However, daily operational capacity is determined by age of the children, child care attendant/child ratios, and needs of the veteran(s).
