The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10, is seeking trauma and crime scene clean-up services for VA Medical Center and Community Based Outpatient Clinic locations in Ohio. - Government Buyer: - Department of Veterans Affairs - Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10 - Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center - Scope of Services: - As-needed removal and decontamination of biohazardous materials (blood, human remains, tissue, bone fragments, hazardous drugs, and waste products) - Incidents include suicide, murder, traumatic injuries, hazardous spills, and explosive bodily fluids - Cleaning and decontaminating all affected surfaces and areas as directed by site contact - 24/7 emergency response with a 2-hour response time requirement - Product/Service Line Items: - Price per incident for cleaning and decontaminating hospital-size rooms (large and small spills) - Price per incident for cleaning blood or bodily fluids - Price per incident for trauma-related clean-up (suicide, murder, amputation, gunshot, stab wounds) - Price per incident for cleaning after explosive defecation or bodily fluids - Unique Requirements: - Compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations - Contractor must provide certifications and safety plans - All personnel, equipment, labor, and disposal must be included - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the opportunity is open to qualified service providers specializing in biohazard remediation.

Title of project: Trauma and Crime Scene Clean Up Contract - Cleveland, OH and surrounding area. 

Purpose of the project: VA Northeast Ohio Health Care system is looking to procure as needed services for Trauma/Crime scene Clean-up when needed for the entire health care system.  Contract vehicle will be a firm-fixed price IDIQ.

Background:  Following a suicide, violent death, or severe accident, the removal of biohazardous materials, such as blood, human remains (tissue and bone fragments), and other contaminants, must occur on varied surfaces. The clean-up and decontamination of these locations is called trauma scene clean-up (also referred to as crime scene clean-up*). These are general terms used to describe the cleaning of blood, human remains, or any biohazardous material following an incident that results in environmental contamination.
