Description

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has submitted a request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for approval of a new information collection related to bridging the data gap in pavement management and quality assurance. This collection aims to assess the current state of digital project delivery practices, including pavement and materials testing and electronic quality assurance data within state transportation agencies. The research will evaluate the use and limitations of electronic quality assurance data, its integration with digital as-builts and asset management, and identify gaps and requirements for a data schema. The FHWA is seeking public comments on this new information collection by September 28, 2026.
