Description
The New England Fishery Management Council is scheduling a public hybrid meeting of its Scallop Joint Advisory Panel and Plan Development Team to consider actions affecting New England fisheries in the exclusive economic zone (EEZ). The meeting will focus on developing input on potential specification alternatives for fishing years 2027 and 2028, including setting catch limits, days-at-sea, and allocations. Discussions will also cover Framework 42 measures and the long-term Scallop Strategic Plan. Recommendations from this group will be brought to the full Council for formal consideration and action if appropriate.
