The Commander Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD 20670 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Pratt and Whittney Measurement Systems Inc., 66 Douglas St, Bloomfield, Connecticut 06002 USA (Cage: 3EQQ7) on a sole source basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.102(a), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The Fleet Readiness Center Southeast, located at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida, utilizes a Laser Measuring Machine (LMM), Model TG2028-0025, to perform precision dimensional measurements in support of aircraft component manufacturing, inspection, and calibration operations. The LMM is critical to mission support and directly impacts accuracy and reliability. Maintaining optimal conditions supports workload continuity within the calibration laboratory and avoids disruptions to scheduled operations.The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, transportation and any other items necessary to furnish and install one (1) LMM Laser Head. The installation, calibration, and testing must take place at FRCSE on NAS Jacksonville.
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
