Three-Year Masonry Services Contract for City of Troy Buildings

The City of Troy, New York is seeking bids for a three-year term contract for masonry services for City-owned buildings. - Government Buyer: - City of Troy, New York - Office of the City Comptroller, Bureau of Contracts & Procurement - Bureau of Engineering (work performed for) - Scope of Work: - Renovation, maintenance, and improvement of City-owned buildings - Masonry repair, temporary removal and replacement of bricks or concrete-masonry-units (CMUs) - Installation of temporary shoring and scaffolding - Re-pointing mortar, replacement and repair of exterior walls and chimneys - Repair or replacement of wall elements such as lintels and window sills - Historical restoration using historically appropriate materials - Products/Services Requested: - Hourly labor for masons and laborers (regular and emergency rates) - 60 hours each for regular weekday masons and laborers - 8 hours each for emergency weekday masons and laborers - 8 hours each for emergency weekend/holiday masons and laborers - Full range of masonry contracting services (brick/CMU repair, repointing, wall/chimney replacement, historical restoration, shoring, scaffolding, traffic control, project meetings) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Minimum 10 years of experience required - Relevant licensure and certifications for masonry work in New York State - Use of historically appropriate materials for restoration of historic buildings - Services paid on an hourly basis with mark-up for materials and equipment - Contract may be extended for up to two additional one-year periods - No specific OEMs or named vendors; open to qualified masonry contractors

The City of Troy is soliciting sealed bids for a three-year term contract for qualified masonry contracting services. The services relate to the renovation, maintenance, and improvement of City-owned buildings, performed on behalf of the Bureau of Engineering. The contract includes masonry repair and other masonry work as specified by the City Engineer or Commissioner of General Services. The City may extend the contract for two additional one-year periods under identical terms.
