The Department of the Navy's Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) Laboratory Division is seeking a contractor for annual on-site preventive maintenance and calibration services for laboratory balances and weighing devices. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Navy - Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) - Laboratory Division - OEMs and Vendors: - Mettler Toledo - Sartorius - Alfa Mirage - Products/Services Requested: - Preventive maintenance and calibration for up to 25 laboratory balances and weighing devices per year - Services include cleaning, leveling, adjustment, functional testing, OEM or equivalent parts replacement, and calibration to manufacturer specifications using OIML E2 or ASTM Class 2 masses - Provision of ISO 17025:2017 accredited calibration certificates and physical calibration labels - Annual service for base year plus four option years (total potential duration: 5 years) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must maintain ISO 17025:2017 accreditation - Calibration must meet OIML E2 or ASTM Class 2 standards - Contractor must provide quotes for repairs outside preventive maintenance scope - Calibration supports NAVSEA 04Q and A2LA accreditation - Services performed on-site at PSNS & IMF in Bremerton, WA - Quantities: - Up to 25 devices serviced annually - No specific part numbers provided; devices are primarily from Mettler Toledo, Sartorius, and Alfa Mirage - Period of Performance: - One base year (12 months) with four option years (each 12 months) - Estimated Contract Value: - Typical annual calibration contracts for 25 devices range from $25,000 to $75,000 per year; total estimated value over five years: $125,000 to $375,000 - Competing Products/Services: - Calibration and maintenance services for laboratory balances from other OEMs (e.g., Ohaus, Shimadzu) - ISO 17025:2017 accredited calibration services from alternative providers
