Description

The Virginia Primary Care Office (PCO) is preparing for the Health Resources and Services Administration's (HRSA) national update of Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) scheduled for September 2025. This work involves extensive use of the federal Shortage Designation Management System (SDMS) to edit contiguous areas and census tract boundaries changed during the 2020 Decennial Census, update and attest provider location data, and assist Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) with their concurrent update. The contractor will also provide technical assistance for National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site applications. The work location is at the Virginia Department of Health, Office of Health Equity.
