Description

Des Moines Public Schools (DMPS) is seeking proposals for curriculum materials that support social skills instruction for all students with disabilities, with an emphasis on students with significant cognitive disabilities. The curriculum should be implementable across the full continuum of special education services and serve students from preschool through age 21. The curriculum must demonstrate evidence-based design and effectiveness, comprehensive social skills instruction, accessibility and differentiation, standards alignment, real-world application, cultural responsiveness, family engagement, and implementation supports. The current budget for a pilot is $15,000, and approximately 4700 students may be considered for use of this curriculum.
