Description
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award, on a sole source basis pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(b)(2), a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) and Cost Only, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract to Mikel, Inc., CAGE Code 5A6D6, Middletown, RI 02842. This requirement is to further develop, assess, integrate, and enhance the submarine Combat System of the Future (CSoF) across all current and future submarine platforms. The Contractor shall apply advanced system engineering, software and hardware development, modeling and simulation, testing and evaluation, cyber and integrated logistics support to ensure these platforms meet evolving warfighting requirements. This includes support for integrating and enhancing Strike capabilities aligned with submarine mission requirements. Mikel owns and has full rights and title to the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) data that was developed under previous and related SBIR efforts.
This SBIR Phase III requirement with Mikel is anticipated to have 537,600 labor hours required over the five (5) year period of performance. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541715 and the size standard is 1,000 employees.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
