The U.S. Air Force 412th Maintenance Group at Edwards Air Force Base is seeking contractors for the manufacturing and installation of four large prefabricated aircraft sunshades on Ramp 7. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Air Force, 412th Maintenance Group, Edwards Air Force Base - Scope of Work: - Manufacture, assemble, and install four prefabricated aircraft sunshades - Each sunshade: 190 feet wide clear span, 25 feet high, 90 feet long - Flame-retardant 28 Oz PVC coated fabric covers - Zinc-coated tubular steel frames with corrosion protection - Site preparation and improvements - Installation of LED lighting packages (per UFC 3-530-01) - Installation of 24 GFCI-protected weather resistant outlets (six per sunshade) - Lightning protection systems for each sunshade (per National Electrical Code) - Compliance with military and FAA standards, including safety, environmental, and hazardous material management - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; contractors must supply all materials and equipment - Unique Requirements: - Sunshades must meet flame-retardant and corrosion protection standards - Electrical and lightning protection systems must comply with relevant codes - Safety, environmental, and security compliance required, including hazardous material management - Interested parties must submit a capabilities statement demonstrating ability to meet all requirements.

Description

This is a Sources Sought in support of Market Research being conducted by the United States Air Force to identify potential sources to provide the manufacturing and installation of aircraft sunshades. The Contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the installation of aircraft sunshades described below. The work to be accomplished includes the following: Design of structure, design of structural foundations, design of lighting, superstructure, fabric cover, site preparation, site improvements, sunshade installation, and lightning protection.

This effort is in support of the 412th Maintenance Group, Edwards AFB, CA.

3. Requested Information Interested parties are requested to submit a Capabilities Statement that clearly demonstrates their ability to perform the requirements stated above.
