Description
The Town of Yarmouth is seeking a qualified contractor to deploy and operate hydraulic vacuum dredging and a high solids, high volume dewatering system to remove and dewater alum sludge from two holding lagoons. The project requires continuous 24-hour operation until completion, expected to take about 5 days. The contractor must provide experienced personnel trained in alum sludge removal and dewatering equipment operation. The sludge volume is approximately 5000m³ with 2-8% solids, to be dewatered to a minimum of 20% solids and ready for removal from the site. The Town will handle containment and removal of the dewatered sludge as it is produced.
