NASA seeks capability statements for specialized composite prepreg materials (M30S/PMT-F7 and MR60H/PMT-F7) for deployable structures

NASA Langley Research Center is seeking capability statements from vendors for the supply of specialized ultralight composite prepreg materials for deployable boom/truss structures. - Products requested: - M30S/PMT-F7 Plain Weave Prepreg (M30S 18K PW Spread FPP, 60 gsm, 39.37 in width, 250 lm length, 35% resin content) - MR60H/PMT-F7 Unidirectional Prepreg Tape (MR60H Spread Tow UDP, 40 gsm, 6 in width, 500 lm length, 35% resin content) - The procurement is planned as a sole source to Patz Materials and Technologies, but NASA is requesting capability statements from other vendors who can meet the requirements. - No quotes or proposals are being accepted at this stage; only capability statements will be considered. - Deliverables include inspection and test reports, certificates of compliance, and next-day delivery with dry ice shipping. - Technical requirements and specifications are detailed in the Statement of Work (SOW) and capability statement attachments. - The NAICS code for this procurement is 325211 (Plastics Material and Resin Manufacturing). - The period of performance requires delivery within 12 weeks after receipt of order. - The opportunity is open until August 27, 2026 for capability statement submissions. - NASA has included an Ombudsman per NASA FAR Supplement Clause 1852.215-84.

Description

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for M30S/PMT-F7 Plain Weave Prepreg and MR60H/PMT-F7 Unidirectional Prepreg Tape. See the attached SOW and capability statement.
