The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mission Support Battalion is seeking a contractor to install acoustic upgrades in a secure room at Building 2593, Alexandria, Virginia. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Headquarters (Mission Support Battalion, Contracting Office) - Scope of Work: - Installation of fire-rated sound-blocking gypsum board (Type X sound-rated, 5/8-inch) - Wall sound transducers (invisible or surface-mounted acoustic devices to mask speech) - Ceiling white noise machines (emitters wired to a central controller) - Sound-blocking door trim (adjustable acoustic seals, door bottoms, heavy trim) - Sound-blocking ceiling tiles (2x2 ft, high NRC/CAC ratings: NRC80/CAC 35) - Extension of electrical/communication outlets with acoustic caulk/foam - Painting (level IV finish, eggshell low VOC paint, vinyl cove base, semi-gloss DTM for door frame) - Requirements: - All contractors must be U.S. Citizens or Nationals with valid Government ID and driver's license - Mandatory site visit for all bidders - Compliance with fire-resistance and acoustic standards - Security and safety compliance, including background checks and accident prevention plans - Contract Details: - Small business set-aside under NAICS 561210 - Firm-fixed price for one job unit - Performance period not to exceed 90 days from contract award - No specific OEMs, brands, or part numbers are named; contractors may propose suitable commercial products meeting the described specifications.

Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Headquarters has a requirement to install acoustic upgrades—including fire-rated sound-blocking gypsum board, wall sound transducers, ceiling white noise machines, sound-blocking door trim, and sound-blocking ceiling tiles to improve speech privacy and acoustic performance in a secure room in Bldg.2593 located on USACE Mission Support Battalion. This procurement will be awarded under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. There will be one site visit at the Kingman Building 2593 on Tuesday, 1 September. The site visit is required.  All contractors will need to meet at the Kingman Building 2593, 7701 Telegraph Road, Alexandria, Virginia 22315 for check-in beginning at 1000. All contractors who wish to be at the site visit must send their names, phone numbers, and company names to the Contract Specialist, Rick Klein, via email. All contractors must be US Citizen or US National and possess a valid Government ID. Must have driver license to enter Facilities. It is the Offeror’s responsibility to ensure the quote has been received by the contracting office via email. Fax quotes will not be accepted. Late quotes will be processed in accordance with RFO 52.212-1(c) “Late submission, modifications, revisions, and withdrawals of offers.” Upon receipt of the electronic offer, the Government will acknowledge receipt of that offer via email to the Offeror.
